We spend almost the third of our income on food

The majority of economically active adults in Hungary spend the most of their salaries on daily expenditure, they can save just 4 percent of their salary – the Generali Biztosító (Generali Insurance Company) announced on Thursday.

According to the Central Statistical Office, the average Hungarian wage is 150,400 HUF. Generali surveyed 1200 respondents, whose income was between 100 and 200 thousand HUF, so it can be considered to be average. According to the survey, the residents of Budapest have the best financial position. 13 percent of them are earning more than 350 thousand HUF net. (MTI)
