The Czech Republic would introduce excise duty on wine consumption
Miroslav Kalousek Czech Finance Minister wants excise duty to be imposed on wine.
Currently, excise duty wine is zero, just klike in the case of beer. The burden may be 10 crowns per liter, about 120 HUF, but the minister did not rule out a smaller amount.
With the 10 crowns burden the state assuming would collect two billion crowns per year (24 billion HUF) – writes Világgazdaság Online.
