We can make 50 liters of ditillate, without paying excise tax
After the new rules over Pálinka distillery, entered into force we can make 400 liters of distillate at home. The distillate can also be sold, although this needs small-scale licenses and tax stamps.
The domestically allowed amount of distillate befits 200 litres of pure alcohol per year, which is equal about 400 liters of Pálinka. The law requires that the distillation over 50 liters of distillate is taxable. The tax is currently 2761 forint per one liter of pálinka in private and rented distilling – reports Népszabadság Online.
