The prince’s wedding was good for the British retailers
Prince Harry’s wedding in May was good for the British retail trade, whose turnover steeply jumped last month.
According to the UK statistical office’s data published on Thursday, retail trade grew by 3.9 percent year-on-year, following a 1.4-percent twelve-month increase measured in April.
According to ONS, the May summer weather could play a part in the rise in sales, as well as British retail sales grew by just 0.8 percent in the base period in May 2017. (MTI)
