EU Michelin stars to come

The European Commission plans to set up the Quality Tourism Label. This – similar to the Michelin stars of the restaurants – would reward the best tourist destinations or services.

The final name and logo has yet to be found, if the idea will go through the European Parliament and the Member States.
It is envisaged that Europe is trying to promote a kind of tourism brand. Today, only some Member States (like Greece) or cities (London, Berlin) advertise themselves – reports Népszabadság.
