Experimental grape varieties perform well
The experimental grape varieties of the Vine and Wine Sciences (BRC) of the University of Pécs are performing well: Three out of the four plants are resistant to major fungal diseases without chemical protection – the Institute told MTI.
The Institute began the experiments in 2012 as part of a European Union program, in collaboration with the Szekszárd-based Mészáros Winehose Winery Ltd. (Mészáros Borház Borászati Kft.) – Kozma Pál head of the grape breeding and gene preservation department of the instite told MTI. (MTI)
