Organic foods tolerate the crisis well
According to market researchers, economic downturn did not harm the sales of the organic products in most countries. On the basis of the feedback of traders, the growth in Hungary has stopped.
In the leading ’bio states’ of Europe consumption increased by 20-30 percent annually in recent years. Although domestic growth is below this, in Hungary almost ten percent increase has occured among thosem, who purchase healthier food. Because the organic food share of the domestic consumption, is still only half a percent, there is plenty of space for improvement – reports Népszabadság Online.
