Tesco has performed well in the first business quarter
Tesco’s Group-level sales continued to grow in the first quarter of the 2018-2019 financial year, but Central European sales declined in spite of strong performance in Hungary, primarily due to changes in the opening hours of the Polish and Slovakian stores.
The largest UK retail network reported on the London Stock Exchange on Friday, saying it had increased its turnover by 1.8 percent on the Group level in the 13 weeks ended on 26 May.
Within the average, the turnover of the British and Irish retail outlets grew by 3.5 percent on a quarterly basis. (Kertész Róbert, MTI)
