Hungarian wines performed well at this year's Vinitaly
Hungarian winemakers won seven medals at this year's Vinitaly, which is an International Wine Competition in Italy, where three thousand wine samples were competing this year.
According to the information of the participants, the 2013 vintage “Vadóc” Sauvignon Blanc of the Varga Winery and the winery’s 2013 vintage Aranymetszés Riesling won the Gran Menzione award. In addition, two “Nyakas wines” also received certificates of merit at the competition. The Aligvárom and Sauvignon blanc wines, that are made of four types of blending received the recognitions. More than 30 Hungarian wine entered the competition this year. Six out of the seven awarded Hungarian wines were white wines. (MTI)
