Romanian tourism boosted
In the first eleven months of last year, the number of guest nights increased by 6.2 percent to 25.325 million in Romania, according to the data of the Romanian National Statistical Institute published on Friday.
About 20 percent of the guest nights were spent by foreign tourists, while the rest were spent by Romanians. On average, Romanian tourists spent 2.3 guest nights, while foreigners spent 1.9 guest nights at commercial accommodation.
The number of tourists using hotels and pensions increased by 10.4 percent to 11,272 million during the period under review, of which 8,679 million were Romanian tourists and 2,592 million foreigners. (MTI)
