The Czech breweries closed a good year in 2014
The Czech breweries had a good year last year. Both the Prazdroj in Pilsner and the Budvar in Budejovice reported an increase.
The Prazdroj is the Czech Republic's largest brewery group with more than 10 million hectoliters of beer sold last year. Last year, sales rose by 4.5 percent on an annual basis – said Paolo Lanzarotti, the CEO of teh Prazdroj Brewery at a press conference in Prague on Friday.
The Budejovice-based Budvar brewery owned by the Czech state also closed a good year. According to the press, the company increased its sales by 2.5 percent, while its exports increased by six percent. (Kokes János, MTI)
