Romanian tourism started the year well
Romanian tourism grew in January at a similar pace as last year, the number of overnight stays increased by 8.5 percent – the Romanian national statistical institute announced.
In the first month of this year, 13.4 percent more 659 thousand tourists visited the commercial accomodiation units, spending 1.242 million nights. The latter figure corresponds to a 8.5 percent growth compared to January 2016. In the period under review the number of foreign tourists increased by 9.2 percent, to 135 500. (MTI)
