Chances for Agriculture during the crisis
Although the financial and economic crisis put a big impact on agriculture, according to experts, the crisis also has significant potential in the sector.
For example crediting agriculture is less risky than other sectors, so for the banks, this area is still attractive, and there is a need for funding.
According to Szabó János, agriculture expert of Budapest Bank; last year was effective in agriculture and this year looks also good.
As far as the specific effects of the crisis: the devaluation of the forint has benefited the industry specifically because of the increased export, the forint income also increased while food import became expensive – reports Világgazdaság Online.
