The consumption of non-alcoholic beer increases
Between May 2008 and April 2009, five percent more non-alcoholic beer has been sold than a year earlier. The average price of a liter decreased from 330 HUF to 302 HUF – published by ACNielsen Market Research Ltd.
In April 2007 non-alcoholic beer was more cheaper. The volume of consumer sales-weighted average price per liter was 298 HUF that time. The non-alcoholic beer in quantities represents four percent in value five percent of the total beer retail turnover. Compared to the previous twelve months between May 2008 and April 2009, the total value of beer sales increased by 5 percent to 115 billion HUF in value. The volume is still around four million hectoliters. According to retail sales the size of the non-alcoholic beer market is about 4.5 billion HUF.
