Gold Ribbon foods to come
Molnár B. Tamás founder of the Hungarian Gastronomic Association at the association’s annual Meeting on 7 April announced that they establish the Gold Ribbon Quality Certificate, following the German Feinheimisch (“good domestic”) model – writes Index. The initiative provides support for those “who are barave enough to start producing high-quality goods”.
Molnár, who is the editor in chief of the Gault&Millau restaurant guide, asked the kitcheners of the Gault&Millau restaurants to recommend products that are reliable and excellent, and so they are worthy to the Golden Belt certificate.
The aim is to create a credible certification system in Hungary. The President of the National Food Chain Safety Office offered a long-term cooperation to the Association. (index)
