The multinationals can come: Hungarian webshops do not feel threatened
Three-quarters of the webshops would develop their businesses further with the enlargement of the product range, and only one-third of them seeing a greater risk in the appearance of foreign competitors. Half of the owners would not be scared from the appereance of Amazon.
A typical webshop visitor spends 5-25 thousand forints occasionally per purchase and does not trust in online pre-payment. The recent survey of Olcsóbbat.hu reveals how the Hungarian webshops perceive themselves and how they prepare for the sharpening of the competition.
The research shows that the largest selection can be found on the domestic online consumer electronics and computer market, followed by health and beauty products on the third place. The smallest range can be found in the DIY tools and equipment category and only a few music and movie CD and DVD sellers were found. These two product categories are only the 1 percent of the whole online webstore business.
