Fertilizers became much more expensive
The fertilizer distributors sold 1.5 million tons of fertilizers directly to farmers in 2015. The sales volume was eight percent higher than a year before. The fertiliser prices have risen with an average of three percent, so the net sales of fertilizers have reached 136 billion HUF in 2015. It is 11 percent more than in 2014.
Anyone who is interested in the details, it is worth to sink into the details of the research prepared by the Agricultural Economics Research Institute (AKI). The nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium (NPK) active ingredient content of the fertilizers purchased by the farmers in 2015 was 520 thousand tons, 33 thousand tons (+6.7 percent) higher than a year before.
