New directives to come in chicken breeding

In a few years, Hungarian products should compete with the South American eggs, while thje farmers cannot keep the hens in their conventional cages from 2012, because of the EU directive.

During the autumn at the plenary session of  the European Parliament (EP) MEPs adopted a joint resolution ober the situation of the sector and the necessary measures, that should be carried out. The stakes are not small, a good part of the EU farmers, can go bankrupt – reports Népszabadság Online.
