Beef meat is better when the cattle drinks wine
Several cattle became “drunkards” in France: they can drink a daily two bottles of great quality wine, because their flesh became better from it.
The idea came from Jean-Charles Tastavy farmer. Initially, he gave watered wine to three of his cows: he sprayed their feed of barley, hay and fruit with wine and the cows became very “happy” immediately. Their well-being can be felt in their meat as well, their muscles and fibers became richer. The cattle can only drink wine when they become older, and can only get the winy feed for four months. Tastavy calculated the amount on the basis of the recommended optimal human dose – 2-3 deciliter per day. Since the body weight of cattle is much higher, so even one and a half liter – two bottles – can be allowed per day. (MTI)
