Good quality cereal crops are expected
Almost one million hectares of winter wheat is already in the granaries. A slightly larger and better than average quality grain crops are expected – according to the Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Nagy István told that the country’s bread, feed and seed supplies are secured and a part of can be exported. The Minister of State emphasized that approximately half of the crop would be expected to be sold abroad on the usual export markets, mainly in the southern European countries and Germany, but there are significant interests in China as well.
