KFC increased sales in Romania
During 2008, the company opened eight restaurants, in total, KFC chain in Romania includes 32 units, but new openings will take place during 2009 starting from the capital.
KFC in Romania reported a local net
turnover of over EUR40 million for 2008, with an increase of 25% on
EUR31.5 million the previous year. A company spokesman said:
"Increases in 2009 will not be spectacular, but not impossible.
We will try to maintain the same level, but increases are welcome."
The company expects a reduction in the number of customers this month
and will introduce value products or new combos in the menu, planning
to bear the price increases from suppliers without shifting it to
customers.
