Succesful year at Kaposvár, the only sugar factory in Hungary
The increased capacity Kaposvár sugar plant is the only one Hungarian factory, that succesfully closes the year after the European sugar reform.
The sugar beet processing campaign will end in a few weeks, processing a total of 730 thousand tons, originate from Hungarian producers. This means, that the company belonging to the Austrian Agrana-group gives the one third part of the total domestic consumption, if all the 105 thousand tons of the quota will be produced.
The Kaposvár sugar factory succesfully closes the year. After last year’s over 440 thousand tonnes, more than one and a half as much sugar beet should be processed in 2009.
