There would be a major drop in British tourism without agreement in case of Brexit
London’s financial analysts say Britain’s outbound tourism would fall significantly if Britain will leave the European Union without an agreement to regulate Brexit. It would greatly affect the tourism of several European host countries. But the negative effect on the Hungarian tourism sector would be negligible.
One of the most prestigious London-based financial and economic analyst, the Oxford Economics said on Thursday that its model calculations show that in the case of Brexit without an agreement, the UK’s total domestic product (GDP) in 2020 would be 2.1 percent below the level that the UK’s ecomomy would reach without the scheduled brexit, while the pound would weaken by 10 percent on a commercial weighted basis.
