ALDI increased sales in Ireland
In 2008 the discounter said it would spend EUR350 million opening a further 32 stores in the country over the next three years.
In the Republic of Ireland, Aldi has
said it boosted its like-for-like sales by 21% during 2008.
According to its leader Donald
Mackay, the discounter had been helped by the current economic
environment.
