Manufacturer brands significantly increased their share from sales
Energy and sports drinks sales have been growing fast for years, but last year brought an 8-percent decline in retail volume sales and a 2-percent drop in value sales (December 2011-November 2012) – reveals the Nielsen Retail Index. Annual retail sales valued at HUF 15 billion. Small shops realised a relatively big proportion of sales. Manufacturer brands’ share from sales was 86 percent in the December 2010-July 2011 period – 7 percentage points more than in the same period a year earlier.
