Lidl: huge increase in plant-based food sales
Sales of vegan products at supermarket chain Lidl Germany have increased by more than 30% in the past six months.

Lidl announced at a protein transition event in Berlin this April that sales grew since it had aligned the price of meat and plant-based alternatives in October 2023, Vegconomist reported. To encourage shoppers to make plant-based choices, the discount retailer has begun to display vegan products alongside animal-based versions in its stores. //
