TESCO reduces water consumption in UK
According to The Grocer, Tesco has reduced its water consumption by 40% in 28 UK stores through the use of rainwater capturing technologies.
Engineers have installed tanks
underneath new stores and have retro-fitted into some existing
stores. The initiative is part of Tesco’s objective to reduce water
consumption across its portfolio by 20% by 2012.
