China’s exports dropped significantly in the first two months of the year
China’s exports and imports dropped significantly in the first two months of the year as a result of a new type of coronavirus.
According to Chinese Customs data released Saturday, exports in January-February fell 17.2 percent year-on-year, the worst since February last year. Analysts expected a 14.0 percent decline after a 7.9 percent increase in December.
The dollar value of imports fell 4.0 percent, much lower than analysts’ expectations of 15.0 percent, but the largest since November last year. (MTI)
