Zwack’s profit decreased significantly
In the first three quarters of the 2023-2024 business year, Zwack Unicum Nyrt. achieved gross sales revenue of HUF 31.58 billion, 3.4 percent more compared to the same period of the previous year; its profit after tax was HUF 3.2 billion, which is a 16.4 percent decrease, the company announced on the website of the Budapest Stock Exchange (BÉT) on Tuesday.
According to the report, net sales (sales without excise and public health product tax) are HUF 19.09 billion, 5.4 percent higher than in the base period. The net sales revenue of domestic sales was HUF 940 million higher than in the first three quarters of the previous business year. The net sales revenue of self-produced products on the domestic market increased by 8.0 percent to HUF 12.1 billion. Within this, the sales revenue of premium products exceeded the same period of the previous year by 7.6 percent, while that of quality products by 9.3 percent.
According to the report, the decline in domestic traffic has a noticeable effect on the company’s performance. In the last three quarters, although the sales revenue increased, the volume fell by 2.5 percent.
It was announced that the sales revenue of the products sold for export was HUF 1.747 billion, which represents a decrease of 8.7 percent compared to the base period. Among the major export markets, sales were at a base level in Italy, while turnover decreased in Germany (by 24 percent) and Romania (by 3 percent).
