The sheep and goat sector expanded significantly in the past five years
The sheep and goat sector performed well in recent years. Its output at current prices increased by nearly 50 percent between 2010-2015, while in volume, growth was 11 percent – the Deputy Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) announced on Thursday in Budapest.
Feldman Zsolt at the the 25th anniversary conference of the Sheep Product Council said that the output of the sector last year – in the last completed business year – amounted to 20.8 billion HUF; giving 0.8 percent of the output of the Hungarian agriculture, while 2.4 percent of the 857 billion HUF livestock output.
