The field of organic farming is significantly expanding in Hungary
The organization found from the latest 2019 data in the yearbook published by the International Federation of Organic Agricultural Movements (IFOAM) and the Swiss Research Institute for Organic Farming (FiBL) that Hungary is the 10th most dynamically developing state based on the expansion of organic farming, while in terms of organic plantations it is the 12th largest organic fruit producer in the world in terms of area. Domestic enterprises related to organic farming have also developed a lot. Their number had already exceeded 5,600 before last year, which, according to ÖMKi, proves the growing importance of the sector. (MTI)
