The pandemic and the immediate payment system have significantly rearranged our payment habits
In the first three months after the introduction of the immediate payment system, bank customers registered almost 55,000 secondary account IDs, of which the use of mobile phone numbers and email addresses is the most popular – quotes novekedes.hu quoting the latest data from GIRO Zrt. This is also a sign that the quarantine due to the pandemic has significantly redrawed payment habits.
Analysts are confident that credit card and digital payment solutions will play an even bigger role in our changed daily lives due to the pandemic. In Hungary, this trend is also supported by the introduction of the instant payment system in March, which helps to spread a number of innovative solutions through its additional services.
