The Jéger may bring significant savings
It is good news for the farmers that the ice-hunting system, the Jéger will be launched nationwide at the beginning of May. The system is currently under development – Magyar Nemzet Online wrote.
The nationwide construction of the system will cost 1.8 billion HUF. The system contains 986 soil generators, including 222 automated appliances. The system is financed by the rural development program.
The essence of the system is that when the predicted hail is approaching, acetone silver iodide is evaporated into the air, which enters the clouds and prevents larger ice crystals from forming. (B. Molnár László, mno.hu)
