A significant food price increase may come
Despite the VAT cuts, a price increase of more than 10 percent is likely to occur in food prices – penzcentrum.hu wrote. The rise is due to the rise in energy prices and wages, but feed prices also increased this year.
There is a price increase of 10 to 12 percent on pigs and poultry meat, bread, milk and dairy products, on average – Népszava wrote. UHT and ESL milk do not cost much more because it will go under 5 percent VAT from January 2019. (penzcentrum.hu)
