They are preparing for the future with significant investments in the Hungarian factory of Villeroy & Boch
On this special anniversary, Villeroy & Boch looks to the future in addition to the celebration, since the brand, which is 275 years old this year, has carried out a series of improvements worth more than HUF 5.3 billion in total in the recent period. The domestic company’s ceramic toilets are now manufactured using one of the most modern, so-called high-pressure technologies in the world, while new coating lines serve to increase efficiency and also make the work of the workers there easier. The group, which achieved sales revenue of EUR 994.5 million in 2022 (+5.2% compared to the previous year), occupies a market-leading position in the Hungarian sanitary ceramics market with its two brands, premium Villeroy & Boch and Alföldi.
One of the leading manufacturers of ceramic products on the global market, Villeroy & Boch, which is celebrating its 275th anniversary this year, is continuing its investments at full steam in Hungary and worldwide. In the past three years, the company group has initiated various developments in its Hódmezővásárhely plant, the world’s largest sanitary ware factory, worth a total of more than HUF 5.3 billion – EUR 14 million. Thanks to these, the toilets are also manufactured with more modern, so-called high-pressure technology. As part of the series of investments, new coating lines and drying machines were put into operation.
