PENNY begins significant price cuts – prices of nearly 170 household products will decrease
Starting on May 30, PENNY Hungary has launched another large-scale price reduction, this time affecting a wide range of chemical products. The discount chain is reducing prices in a total of 17 product categories, such as washing powders, fabric softeners, shower gels, shampoos, toothpastes, body lotions, shaving foams and paper tissues, which are now available at even lower prices.
The sale, which will last several weeks, will reduce the prices of around 170 basic household and hygiene products – according to PENNY’s calculations, consumers can save up to several thousand forints with each purchase. The price reduction affects nearly 40% of the selection, so it can really mean a noticeable change for customers at the checkout.
One in three purchases includes chemicals
Analysis of PENNY’s shopping baskets shows that chemicals are included in every fourth purchase, meaning that these products are an essential part of everyday consumption in Hungarian households. Household and hygiene products also make up a significant portion of monthly expenses, so the current discounts can provide substantial assistance in maintaining family budgets.
“It is of utmost importance for PENNY to ensure quality and budget-friendly prices for its customers at the same time. Therefore, from May 30, our customers will be able to find new permanent discounts on nearly 40% of household and hygiene products, which will leave even more in their wallets,” highlighted Zoltán Bálint, Head of Purchasing at PENNY.
Permanent discounts for conscious shopping
The price reduction introduced now is not just a temporary campaign: PENNY’s goal is to keep the prices of the most frequently purchased products affordable in the long term. Through discounts, consumers can save up to several hundred forints per product, and several thousand forints overall, if they follow the promotions closely and consciously select the products they want to purchase.
Permanent price reductions respond to inflationary pressure and customer needs at the same time, so PENNY’s latest initiative is a good example of how to provide meaningful assistance in optimizing everyday expenses.
