Starbucks-Unilever ice cream deal
The British food giant will research and develop new products using Starbucks coffee flavours.
Starbucks signed a licensing agreement
with Unilever to manufacture, market and distribute Starbucks ice
cream products. Unilever owns the Ben & Jerry’s, Breyers, Good
Humor and Klondike ice cream brands. The two companies already
partner on distribution of Starbucks’ Tazo tea products. “This
relationship will enable us to introduce exciting new products and
extend the Starbucks Experience to a larger base of consumers.”
said Gerry Lopez, President, Starbucks Global Consumer Productsin a
statement.
