Consumer sentiment improved slightly in September in the United States
Consumer sentiment improved somewhat in the U.S. in September, according to a survey by the University of Michigan, although perceptions of the current situation deteriorated among respondents, but their outlook was more favorable.

Slightly more optimistic US consumers
According to a preliminary assessment of the University of Michigan’s monthly regular consumer sentiment survey, there was some improvement in September compared to August, although less than expected. The mood index rose from 70.3 points in August to 71.0 points instead of the expected 72.0 points. (MTI)
