Economic sentiment in the euro zone and in the EU improved in September
Economic sentiment in the euro zone and in the European Union improved as well in September.
According to the report, issued by the European Union Economic and Financial Affairs (ECFIN) on Thursday, the Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) increased from the 103.5 points of August by 1.4 points, to 104.9 points in the euro area. Analysts expected stagnation.
In the EU, the economic sentiment index increased by 1.8 points to 105.6 points in the ninth month of the year. (MTI)
