Economic sentiment in the euro area and in the EU improved in February
Economic sentiment in the euro area improved better than expected in February, according to a report by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs (DG ECFIN) on Thursday, which also showed an improvement in consumer sentiment and employment expectations.
In February, the Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) in the euro area increased by 1.9 points from 91.5 points of the previous month to 93.4 points in February, above the expected 92.0 points. (MTI)
