Consumer sentiment improved in the United States in July
Consumer sentiment in the United States improved even more than previously expected in July, compared to the previous month.
According to the final data of the usual monthly survey of the University of Michigan presented on Friday, the consumer sentiment index increased to 51.5 points in July from 50 points in June. The preliminary data for July presented nearly two weeks ago was 51.1 points. A year ago, the index was much higher, 81.2 points. (MTI)
