Consumer sentiment in the United States improved in September
According to the monthly survey by the University of Michigan, consumer sentiment in the United States improved in September, indicating that despite increasing uncertainty, consumers are optimistic and continue to support economic growth with rising spending.
According to the final data released on Friday, the consumer sentiment index rose to 93.2 from 89.8 in August. Previously reported data was slightly weaker: 92.0 points.
Among the sub-indices, the consumer expectations indicator for the next six months increased from 79.9 points to 83.4 points, while the value of the sub-index reflecting the current situation increased from 105.3 points to 108.5 points. (MTI)
