Improving economic situation in tourism
The TKI index stood at -1 point in July 2025 (interpreted on a scale between -100 and +100), which means that the sector’s players perceived their situation as stagnant. After a 4-point decrease last month, the index value increased by 6 points in the seventh month of the year, thus exceeding its value a year ago by 1 point. In accommodation services, the index increased by 18 points to +4 points, in catering by 1 point to -6 points, while in other tourism sectors it stagnated at 0 points.

Among the sub-sectors, the other tourism sector stagnated in year-on-year comparison, while the hospitality sector declined by 3 points and the accommodation sector increased by 5 points. It fell slightly short of the trade index (+8 points), but exceeded the construction (-9 points) and industry indices (-2 points).
