Improved consumer confidence in the world's largest economy
The consumer confidence index of the U.S. Conference Board economic research institute increased in July. The index increased to 59.5 points from the revised 57.6 points of June. The experts expected to 57.1 points for July.
The index in February was on its three years peak, standing on 72.0 points The current situation assessment sub-indicator decreased to 35.7 points, from the 36.6 points of June. The six-month expectations sub-index rose from 71.6 points to 75.4 points – reports ProfitLine.hu.
