IMF mproved this year’s world economic growth forecast
The global economy will gain more momentum than expected by the IMF so far this year, partly as a result of fiscal stimulus and central bank monetary measures, as well as the launch of mass vaccinations.
According to the April forecast of the International Economic Fund’s (IMF) study World Economic Outlook, April 2021 (WEO April 2021), which updates January data, the global economy could grow by 6 percent this year, compared to 5.5 percent expected in January, next year GDP growth data was improved from 4.2 percent to 4.4 percent by report compilers.
