The harvest is in full swing across the country, the winter wheat yields vary between 3.3 and 4.5 tons per hectare, and quality of the harvested grain is also mixed, drought affected the yields badly at many places.

According to the latest datas of the Tolna County Government Office 28,553 tons of wheat was harvested on 6,238 hectares with a 4.58 tons per hectare average yield. This is lower than the average of the 2011 crop, which was 4.78 tons of wheat per hectare. (MTI)
