The bird flu has also reached the county of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok
After the county of Békés, the laboratory of the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) also detected the presence of bird flu in the county of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok. The elimination of the liver-useful goose population is in progress.
In the settlement of Öcsöd in Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok counties, the H5N1 subtype of the highly pathogenic bird flu virus was detected by the Nébih laboratory in a flock of 2,500 geese with liver function. Bird flu was suspected due to the increased mortality on the farm. The liquidation of the affected herd is underway, and a 3 km radius protection zone and a 10 km radius surveillance (observation) zone have been designated around the farm.
The confirmed cases this week also prove that the highly pathogenic bird flu virus can appear anywhere in the country
Strict adherence to epidemic prevention regulations and protection against wild birds are of prime importance. In order to do this, vehicle and passenger traffic must be minimized, and the conditions of the epidemic prevention regulations must not only be ensured, but also continuously operated. Poultry must be fed and watered in a closed place, and feed and litter must also be stored in a closed place.
