From January, the course of plant protection drone pilot training will change
The National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) amended the conditions and procedures for the organization and conduct of the unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) plant protection basic training. The new version will enter into force on January 1, 2023.

The conditions and procedures were amended taking into account the feedback and suggestions of the competent professional organizations. For example, the condition regarding the qualification of a training person with agrometeorological knowledge has changed, and the requirements have been clarified in several places. The change, which will enter into force on January 1, 2023, does not affect previously concluded and ongoing procedures.
Nébih is still waiting for applications from adult training institutions that have the appropriate personal, material and infrastructural conditions to organize and conduct professional training aimed at obtaining the crop protection drone pilot qualification. It is important that only an institution that is registered as an authorized adult education institution, i.e. has a license number, can apply for the call. Nébih primarily welcomes applications by e-mail at mgei@nebih.gov.hu, and also accepts applications by post (Nébih Mezőgazdasági Genetica Erőforsórás Igazgatóság, 1537 Budapest Pf. 407.). It is important that application documentation larger than 8 MB can only be submitted in electronic form using a large file sending application.
With the training of crop protection drone pilots, it is hoped that modern and environmentally friendly drone spraying technology will be available to Hungarian farmers as soon as possible.
