Investor sentiment in the euro area improved in January
Contrary to analysts’ expectations, investor sentiment in the eurozone did not deteriorate but improved in January, according to a survey by the Sentix Economic Research Institute in Frankfurt.
The euro area investor sentiment index increased to 14.9 points in January from 13.5 the points of December.
Among the components of the index, expectations for the next six months have deteriorated minimally, but perceptions of the current environment have improved significantly. (MTI)
