In January, fuel, alcoholic beverages and food led the price increases
In January, consumer prices were 5.5 percent higher than a year ago. In the growth, certain tax measures and forint's exchange rate played the most significant role.
The price of fuel, alcoholic beverages, tobacco products and food prices increase more than the average, for consumer durables and clothing one had to pay less – announced the Central Statistics Office (KSH) on Tuesday.
Compared to December last year, prices rose by 2.1 percent in prices. The fuel prices increased by 5.3 percent during the first month of the year – reports MTI.
